First Day of School

Last Monday, Parker started Pre-school. She actually got to go a week early (and it was free!). She is going to The Discovery Center. Her teacher is Ms. Stackhouse. She was super excited to go that day. I was able to take her and pick her up, because it was our workday. When I picked her up, I was so excited for her. I asked her, "So, how was it?" Her reply was..."Good." Then I asked her what she did. "Nothing." GREAT!!! She is going to be one of THOSE kids! She then called Matt and told him way more than she told me!

Ready to go. (Notice her new hair cut!)

Here she is outside of the school.

Another milestone. It was very bittersweet. I was so excited for her, but at the same time so sad for myself. My baby is growing up!

This week, she goes with the rest of her class. One thing we've noticed, is that she now raises her hand and says, "I have a question". Also, she was talking to my mom and said her teacher's name in a quiet voice. Then she said, "I said Ms. Stackhouse in a quiet voice". Mom and I wondered if she had been told to use her "INSIDE" voice (which she doesn't have!).

I'm back to work now too! So far so good. I've been a little stressed with changing grades this year, but in time things will get easier. (I hope!)
