Young's Dairy Day!

Matt & I took Parker to Young's Dairy in Xenia today. The weather was great. It wasn't too hot and it didn't rain! Parker enjoyed feeding the animals and petting them. When we got there she wanted to eat ice cream first, but we made her wait until she was done with the animals. She had blue and yellow ice cream everywhere! I was excited, because I love their lemon custard ice cream. You just can't find anything like it! Matt had black raspberry and Parker wanted blue, a.k.a. cotton candy. When we were done eating we played a round of putt putt. Parker did great for her first time. She would tee off and then pick her ball up where it landed and place it by the hole and then putt it in! She did great holding the club in the correct fashion too! We can check one more thing off of our list! Matt went with us today, because he had a dentist appointment this morning. He has to have a root canal done Monday! GREAT!

COSI is Cool!

Alix & I won a COSI challenge. We had to build a structure that would hold as many puffballs as possible. It had to be at least 1 ft. off of the table and we only had a few materials to use. We set the record with 93 puffballs, and then it tipped over!

This is a video of me riding on a unicycle above the main entrance to COSI. I was very nervous and it felt like I was going to tip over.

Kyle, Alix, Aiden, Parker, Harper & I went ot COSI today. It was a great time! We visited all of the exhibits and explored. I haven't been to COSI since I was in elementary school. It has changed so much! The kids had a blast in the KidSpace area. They could play with water and dress up. We were there for about 4 hours and all the kids did good. Before we left, we got some Astronaut ice cream. When we got home Matt said he had never heard of it before. From what I can remember, it was the best stuff when you were a kid! Melts in your mouth!

We have done a lot of things this summer. I kind of had a bucket list going of things and places that I wanted to do/visit this summer. We have almost done all of them. I forget how fast the summer goes until August 1st. And that date is creeping up on us soon! We are heading to Young's dairy on Wednesday with Matt for some of their great ice cream and to play with the animals. Check back Wed. night, because I'm sure I'll be updating again!

Water Fun:)

This past Sunday the Penhorwood family went canoeing down the Mad River. It was a great day for canoeing. There was a nice breeze and lots of sun. Parker enjoyed putting her feet in the water. It was ice cold. The best part of the trip was when Matt's parents tipped their canoe just when we were about to be finished.

Parker & Daddy.

Today, Parker, Riley & I took advantage of the sun and went to Splash Zone in Springfield. It was a bit chilly at first, but the water felt great. I went down the water slides and it made me feel like I was about 16 years old again. I'm sure I'll pay for it later. Parker liked riding in the lazy river and playing in the kiddie area. When it was time to leave, she told me, "I'm not done yet!" It is a nice pool. I hope Bellefontaine is able to redo their pool like the proposal. Lots of fun!

Taking a break!

This is a picture of Splash Zone. I went down the big yellow and red vortex thing and the blue slide in the background. Parker played on this thing in the foreground most of the time.

A Trip to the Zoo!

This is my favorite picture. Look how the Bonobo monkey and Parker are looking at one another. I wish I knew what they were both thinking. (When the monkey got up and walked away, Parker said, "Look at her butt, mom!")
Mommy and Parker on her tiger, Jo Jo.
Parker, Pappy, and a warthog.
Parker, Mammy, & a Manatee. Mommy and her girls.
The girls on the baby elephant. We went to the Zoo today with my mom and step-dad, a.k.a. Mammy & Pappy. It was a HOT day! Harper slept most of the time and I felt so bad for her, because she was sweating in the car seat. Parker was a trooper so were mammy & pappy! We made it to all of the animals except the Australian exhibit and the Reptile building. We were pretty pooped when we left. Parker said her favorite things were the elephants and the monkeys. I loved it when she tried to say orangutan. She pronounced it "rang-tang". She insisted on posing on every metal animal in the park. Some of them were really hot. When we were looking at the Bonobo monkeys a little boy kicked the glass and the momma monkey jumped up and hit the glass. It was so funny to see the little boy run to his mom. In the gorilla exhibit, Parker was observing the gorillas that were next to the glass. The baby moved and the mom put her back to the glass very fast and it scared Parker. It was a bit comical! Parker was pretty brave today. She touched a snake and some sea creatures. Mammy sat that out! All in all, a great day at the Zoo!

My Fair Lady!

Parker, Alix, & Aiden on the train ride.
She loved riding the pony!
She said this was her favorite thing, because she jumped really high!
This was the longest merry go round ride ever!Parker & Aiden in the stroller, getting ready to go home.

Our county fair was this past week. Matt and I took the girls to the fair Friday night. We met up with mom and Dave and ate dinner and rode some rides. We also met up with Aiden and Alix to ride rides with. Parker really enjoyed the fair. She played two games and won a stuffed animal at both of them. She rode all of the kiddie rides too. She even did the trampoline bungie thing. I did it with her. It is my favorite thing, besides the food. Harper slept almost the entire time. She was so good. This was the first year that I only attended the fair 1 day. 15 years ago I was at the fair every day and night. Now one day is enough for me!

My New Hobby

So the hubby talked me into it!
We were shopping for Riley's bday present and ended up leaving the store with some riding gear for me as well. Only problem is I don't have my own bike. I've been riding Riley's. My brother had a bike when we were younger and everytime I tried to ride it I wrecked it. I am much better now:) I know I'm crazy. But you gotta do what you gotta do to stay young!
These clothes are not flattering at all:)

Happy Birthday America!

A patriotic bunch!
I just love her smile!
Parker and Kyle playing guitar hero.
92 years, 2 months, and 2 years!

Happy 4th! We had a very busy weekend. Matt, the girls and I traveled down to southern Ohio to visit Parker and Harper's great-grandma and great-great-grandma. We also stopped over in Huntington, WV to visit some friends and eat the most wonderful hot dogs on the planet! The orginal Stewarts hot dogs and root beer. They were fabulous as always.

This was the first time that my relatives down south had seen Harper. Parker had a blast playing with my cousing Kyle. She pretty much followed him around wherever he went. She also took a bike ride with my aunt Lesa. We watched fireworks from the Ohio side of the river. I just love watching them over water. They were great as always!

The girls did pretty good traveleing. Parker didn't shut up the entire way down. Harper slept. On the way back both girls fell asleep. Traffic was way down this year, gas prices I'm sure!

We came back on Saturday and went out to Matt's parents house and then up to Indian Lake for fire works. I must say, I was pretty impressed with them this year. Much better than last year.

Sunday my brother and sister-in-law came in and we had a family cookout. It was good times!

Overall, a very fun weekend. So sad that Matt had to go back to work and I get to sit around the house:)

My little swimmer

Parker and her teacher Tonya.
(Notice her sunglasses! She refused to take them off that day!)

Parker and one of her classmates playing with toys.

Parker kicking with Tonya.

Parker finished up her two week session of swimming lessons today. She was in the pre-school class. They mainly focused on jumping in off of the side of the pool, learning how to kick their legs in the water, and going under water. They also got to play with toys. Parker really enjoyed the first week, but this last week has been a pain. She has decided that she no longer wants to jump in and would rather sit on the steps. The weather this week also didn't cooperate. It rained twice and was pretty chilly out. Next week she is starting lessons at our YMCA. I have to get in the water with her and it is only one day a week for 4 weeks. Hopefully, she'll enjoy it! (the pool is heated and indoors)

Not much new with miss Harper. She is getting big. I think she might begin to take on my look rather than Matt. It is just a waiting game to see who she'll look like. I definately think she'll have dark hair.

I started Weight Watchers last Monday to help get off the rest of my pregnancy weight and so far I've lost 7 lbs. I really enjoy the diet, because I still get to eat what I want, just smaller portions. Plus, I get extra points for nursing. I think I'll continue to nurse for those extra points! Weight Watchers has some really great snack items too!
