The Dentist and other random photos

Today Parker went to the dentist to have her first cleaning. She did soooo great. She hopped right up in the chair and let the hygienist do her thing. She wasn't scared at all. We already knew she had a cavity and she'll get it filled in April. I was very proud of how big she was today!
She told the hygienist, "that light is in my eyes, move it please."
All clean.
Some other random shots that I've taken lately.

Here is Harper wearing Dee Dee Doodlebop's wig. Such a cutie with that pink hair!
Ha Ha Ozzie, I get to be inside. You have to be outside.
Guess who's under this blanket......
Harper Rose! Childproofing at it's best. She loves the stairs. I surprised Parker this weekend with smiley face pancakes. She thought I was the coolest!

I like this picture of Harper. I bet you can't guess what she was getting ready to do.

Our outlet from the hallway upstairs.
And the story behind it.
The other morning, after Matt went to work, I heard a buzzing noise and thought maybe there were bee's in the attic. Mind you it was around 5:45 a.m. Then I thought, maybe it's the electric. I smelled and didn't smell anything, so I went back to bed. I got up got ready and started getting the girls ready, and then I smelled burnt plastic really bad. I unplugged everything in both of their rooms and then the hallway. I didn't smell it in our room or the bathroom. I still couldn't find it. So, I started moving furniture away from the outlets. That is when I found this. We had our heater plugged into it, but it hadn't been used in well over a month. It was beginning to melt the plug. So, I shut off the main power and called my father-in-law. He came and checked it out and took it off. The wires inside were fine. It was just the outlet. Old houses rock!

Resemblance

So lately we've been trying to figure out who Harper looks like. And the other day we went through some of our baby photos and it seems that some days she does look like me. This photo of me was taken when I was about 8 months old. For some odd reason, my parents gave me a chicken bone to chew on. So we decided to mimic the photo. However, Harper wouldn't hold the bone in her mouth. She wanted to chew on it!

Me at 8 months (notice the awesome dent on my forehead from those wonderful forceps)

Harper at 10 months chewing on a chicken bone (we really don't look all that similar here)

Me at about 9 months (I had way more hair than Harper does now!)

Harper playing with her favorite thing...her bunny blanket!

These aren't the best pictures, but at times she gives us the "Lindy" look. Her melon head really throws you off when you look at it, because my head is oval shaped. The melon look definately comes from daddy.

She STILL doesn't have any teeth yet. I can see two on her gums now, but they haven't poked the skin yet. She isn't brave enough yet to walk on her own yet either. She will step with her right foot, but not her left. Matt says, "There is a lot of quit in that child!" We love her anyway:)

Popsicles and the Puppy

Today was so nice out FINALLY! It was about 60 out after I got home from work. Matt got our old dog, Sassy's chain out of the garage for Ozzie. He now has a place to run when he is chained up. Parker wanted outside so bad. She was sick Sat & Sunday, but is feeling much better. Now... Harper has it. So they're both on meds now! Because Harper is so phelemy, I let her have a popsicle. Wow, that was fun! She loved it, but of course it was too cold for her little hands. It was everywhere!

Parker modeling with Ozzie's new chain!
Mr. Toughman trying it by hand!

Mr. Toughman & his trusty sidekick!

Yes! What, you didn't think I could do it?
My Dad is the best!
Mmmm! This is good!
Why has it taken her 10 months to introduce me to these?
