Harper made the paper!

Every year our local paper puts out a baby review and you can submit photos of your child. It makes a neat keepsake. I can remember looking at Jenna's when she was in high school. It was funny seeing the photos of kids she knew. Someday, my girls can do the same. Parker's was in 3 years ago, before the examiner went online!

Here is a link to Harper's photos. She is in there 4 times! She is on page 9 once and page 14 three times.

Sneaky Spaghetti

Friday night Parker took a nap on the chair. I knew Ozzie was in the living room with her, but I was on the computer and wasn't paying attention. I didn't hear chewing so I figured he was sleeping.....He was! On the chair with Parker. That little sneak! It was too cute.

Sneaky pup

After she woke up, Harper joined them.

Then she wrapped him up in the blanket.
This morning he decided to hide under the couch. One problem. He has grown just a bit since the last time he did this and he got stuck. It was quite comical seeing him try to escape.

I took a nap today while Harper was napping and I awoke to the sound of "Dinner's Ready". Of course at first I thought I was dreaming, but I wasn't! Matt actually made me dinner. I believe this was a first! Sure, he grills, but never cooks a whole meal. It was delicious! Of course, now he says he's done, since he cooked me dinner, he doesn't have to do it ever again! Ha, if it were only that easy:)
As I was feeding Harper tonight, I was wondering what I was going to post on the blog tonight and just like that it came to me! Harper's first spaghetti. I was giving her little bits on her tray and I thought, what the heck, she can have the bowl!

Eating out of the bowl.
Human shovelShe's not playing peek a boo here, it was that good! Looks like whiskers:)
Now we're playing peek a boo!
And then, ta da, here comes sissy dressed as a cheerleader.
And of course, she puts the bowl on her head.
"What the heck?"
Spaghetti head!

Rainbow & Bath Time

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...

You can faintly see the second one here.
This was the best that I could do to get the whole thing in.
The other day we had some very strange weather. It poured down rain on one side and was sunny on the other. Then later that evening we were pelted with 65 mph winds. There was a complete rainbow over Btown. After I left school, I went and got the girls and there were two complete rainbows. It was so cool. I tried to get some pictures, but it was hard to capture the entire thing. This was the first rainbow that Parker had seen. She thought it was pretty cool.

Parker is spitting water on her. Harper loves it.

Harper has begun taking baths with Parker now. She loves it. She actually puts her face down in the water and holds her breath. Every now and then she'll suck some water in with her.

Harper can stand by herself!

Harper started standing up on her own this past weekend. She is walking around things like crazy, and likes to hold your fingers while she walks. Parker decided that we sould dress her up like Minnie Mouse. Harper didn't really care for it that much! 9 1/2 months old and she still hasn't cut a tooth yet. There is one ready, but it hasn't broken the surface. Needless to say, she is pretty cranky lately!

Yeah Harper! Next step, walking:) (notice her toes, they are curled into the ground!)

I love my sissy.

Why on earth am I wearing this ridiculious outfit?

(I have seen that face on Matt many of times~she really looks like him here)

I've got ears, say cheers! (that's what they say on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)

Meet Ozzie, our new dog!

I know, I know, we're crazy! As if a 9 month old and a 3 year old weren't enough! We've added another member to our family. Meet Ozzie. He is a 9 week old rottweiler mix. We adopted him from the humane society. Currently we are working on the whole potty training thing. He is quite a stinker. He was doing really good and now he has decided that he'll go when he wants to go. We have separated our house so he can have the kitchen and Harper gets the living room. He has already chewed through 2 pairs of Parker's church shoes! She loves to help with him. She takes him out on his leash (while she still can!) and walks with him in the yard while he does his duty. The other day he pooed and she said, "it's a snail again" I was cracking up! He sleeps good through the night. I don't have to get up with him, just Harper.

I love this one.
He was between her legs and trying to eat her skirt while she was swinging.
(she was dressed up like Minnie Mouse)
Good boy.
She loves her new dog. So cute!

Happy Bday Papaw and Snowmobile Girl

Happy Birthday Papaw!
She is practically laying down!
Woah, a fire volcano.
Using her umbrella.
Driving the sled.
2 thumbs up!

This weekend, we went to Columbus with for my dad's birthday. We went to a Japanese Steak House on Sawmill & 161. I can't remember what it was called. It was good! This was the first time that Parker has gone to a restaruant like that. She had a blast. She loved watching the other tables' fires. When they came to cook for us she stayed as far away from the table as possible. She ate the rice & shrimp. She also liked the ice cream at the end that had an umbrella in it. She wanted to eat it with her chop sticks!

Saturday we had a game night at Matt's parents house with his family until about midnight. It was a great time. We played What's Yours Like and Michigan Rummey.

Sunday, Matt got the snowmobiles out for the first time this winter. Parker wanted to ride them so bad. He had her out for about 10 minutes and made her come in for a break. She was so mad. She wanted to go back out. So, he took her out again in the back field. She ended up falling asleep. It scared him to death, because he thought she was unconcious.

Oh, yeah, we're getting a puppy too. We haven't gotten him yet. He should be here tomorrow. I know, we're nuts.
