Young's Dairy Fieldtrip!

Mom and I took the girls to Young's Dairy today for some fun and ice cream. As soon as we got there, we fed the goats. The very first time Harper fed the goat he bit her hand. It left a nice red mark. She no longer wanted to feed the goats after that! Then we went in to visit the animals in the barn. Harper loved the chickens and the ducks. When she saw the cow she said, "mmmmmmm." It was too cute!

Parker took a ride on the little train and jumped in the inflatable cow (forever!) We all got ice cream and it was yummy! Then while Parker jumped, Harper enjoyed playing in the play area. She loved playing in the corn (and tried to eat some too!)

All in all, it was a beautiful day in Xenia today!

Ballet and Cousins

Parker has been taking Ballet at our YMCA (and it's free!) She absolutely loves it. I never took ballet as a child and I probably would've liked it too! Saturday, the parents were allowed to visit the room and watch the kids. She did a great job! She was the fastest leap frog in the room!

Doing her bow

What a beautiful ballerina!
Later that night we went to Gma Rosie's house and visited with Matt's cousin, Brooke (from Tennessee) and her two children, Grant and Julianna. We made smores, went fishing, and had a campfire!
Grant is a year older than Parker. They had a blast playing together. She wore her ballet outfit all night long too!
Harper is 2 weeks younger than Julianna. It was like having twin girls! We gave them a bath together after the fun they had in the sandbox.

Happy Father's Day 2009!

It's been one year since I've posted my first blog! This will be my 66th post! Not too bad in one year!
Saturday night we celebrated Father's day with Papaw Doug with a cookout and some fishing. Daddy caught a nice 10lb catfish. He was blue looking with spots. He was darn near the same size as Harper. She absolutely loved rubbing him. The texture I'm sure felt really cool!
Here is a video of her rubbing it. It was quite funny!

Harper & Parker and the big fish!

On Sunday we got up and went to Indian Lake for our annual duck feeding session. This is Matt's 4th father's day doing this tradition! They had a great flock of geese and a few ducks too! Parker made sure to finish off the entire loaf of bread. She didn't want them to go hungry. Harper was too interested in eating the bread herself!

Feeding the ducks & geese

Here is a video of them feeding the ducks.

After we left the lake we joined Mammy, Pappy, Papaw & Mamaw Maier for lunch at Bob Evans. Harper was a pistol, so we let her try the butter to keep her occupied. It worked very well, but she was covered in butter! That ought to put a little weight on her!!

I hope everyone had a great father's day!

New table centerpiece! & Barbie Furniture

Harper has been doing some pretty funny things lately. She is quite the comic! We got a dining room table finally and we've been using it regularly. However, Harper would prefer to sit on the table and eat instead of in her chair. She is pretty good about getting down on her own too! She gets on Parker's chair and then gets off of it onto the floor! If I can't find her, I always look on the table first!
Our new centerpiece!

The other day she was playing with the barbie furniture. (I had just changed her diaper, so she was still naked) She decided to sit on the couch. When that didn't work, she tried to get into the bathtub. When that didn't work, she threw a nice temper tantrum!
Taking a break on the Barbie couch!

Memorial Day...a little late!

We went down to Southern Ohio/West Virginia to visit my grandma and my great grandma. We also visited some old friends while we were there too! This time I made the trip by myself with the girls while Matt stayed behind to finish fencing in the back yard and finish up the bathroom.
Parker, Harper and their Great-Great grandma Kerr.

Parker took this picture of us! You can see her finger in the corner.

My Favorite Restaurant! Stewarts.

We went to my all-time favorite restaurant...Stewart's. It's the original one. We got our hotdogs and rootbeer to go. We went to Ritter Park in Huntington, WV. The girls played for a while.
Then I took Parker bowling for the first time with my cousin Kyle and my Aunt Lesa. She had a blast!
