Seriously, more chaos!

So, last Wednesday night we got struck by lightning!

Well, the house didn't fortunately, but the transformer outside of our house did. Ironically, we were on the couch with the girls discussing lightning safety and just then, BOOM! Total darkness. Matt and I both jumped. I grabbed both girls. Parker said, "Man, that hurt my heart!"

We were without power for only about 3 hours, but we were the only house around without power. When the storm started to die down, Matt drove around to see if he could find where it struck. That's when we realized we were the only ones without power.

So power came back on and little by little our electronics began to poop out!

Instantly, it killed our phone. The sattelite had picture but no sound, the DSL modem was out, as was the router. Later, we discovered it also fried the motherboard of my computer. (Hence why it took so long to share this story). My alarm clock is forever stuck at 10:39. Matt no longer has a bedside lamp. The garage door is stuck open (thank goodness it wasn't stuck down, it is the only way into the basement!) And the furnace board is fried. Just yesterday the stupid laptop almost went out the window!

So, life is slowly returning to normal again. Hopefully it doesn't do anything to the appliances since they are new.

Potty training is going EXCELLENT! She hasn't had an accident in forever. She is even waking up dry now. We've been to Chuckie Cheese about 5 times now, but whatever works:)


ON A SIDE NOTE. I'm IN NEED OF CEREAL BOXES (empty). I USE THEM FOR MY CLASS AND I HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT IT ALL SUMMER! I'VE BEEN BUYING BAGGED CEREAL! So, if you have any, let me know and I'll get them from you! THANKS:)
